01 Introduction

Welcome to Bear Long Image (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information related to you when you use full-page web capture, text editing, photo stitching, export, and related features.

Please read this policy carefully before using the App. By continuing to use the App, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

Core commitment: the App is privacy-first. Beyond what is strictly necessary to perform capture, editing, stitching, and export on your device, we do not collect identifying information and we do not upload your web content, drafts, or photos to any server we control.

02 Information We Collect

We follow data minimization. The App does not collect or upload: your name, phone number, email, device identifiers, precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, advertising identifiers, or any data used for cross-app tracking.

2.1 Stored on device only

• Web pages & captures: URLs you enter or open via Share / deep link, the rendered page used for capture, and the resulting long images. Capture is rendered locally on your device.
• Drafts & works: image-and-text drafts, stitching sources, exported images, signature logos, and similar content.
• Web history: a short list of recently visited URLs may be kept locally so you can capture again quickly.
• App preferences: export format, compression options, welcome state, signature settings, and similar settings.
• Local diagnostic logs: if export or capture fails, logs may be written on the device for troubleshooting. They are not uploaded.

2.2 Photos access

When you import images from your library or save results to it, iOS may ask for Photos permission. We only read images you actively pick through the system photo picker, or write images after you confirm. We do not scan, back up, or upload your photo library in the background.

2.3 Network access (only for pages you open)

Full-page web capture needs to visit the URL you provide in order to render and screenshot that page. Those requests exist solely to load the page you chose. We do not report your browsing content, device identifiers, or usage behavior to servers we operate.

03 How We Use Information

Information stored on your device is used only to operate the App, including to:

• perform full-page capture, stitching, layout, and export;
• restore drafts, history, and preferences;
• save results to your photo library or share them via the system share sheet when you choose;
• troubleshoot on-device export/capture failures and improve reliability.

We do not use this information for profiling, advertising, personalized recommendations, cross-app tracking, or sale to any third party.

04 Storage & Security

4.1 Where data lives

Drafts, web history, settings, and local logs live in the app sandbox (including UserDefaults and local file directories). Exported images are saved by you to the system photo library or a location you choose. When you uninstall the App, sandbox data is generally deleted with it.

4.2 Security

Data remains on your device and is protected by the iOS app sandbox and system permission model. We do not operate a cloud database of user content, so there is no server-side store of your captures, drafts, or photos that could be breached from our side.

4.3 Retention

Drafts, history, and settings remain until you delete them or uninstall the App. Local diagnostic logs are short-lived, for troubleshooting only, and can be cleared at any time.

05 Device Permissions

The App requests only permissions required for core features:

We do not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, Bluetooth, local network, health, or other permissions unrelated to the core features above.

06 Third Parties

The App does not embed third-party SDKs, including advertising, analytics, crash reporting, push, social login, device fingerprinting, or tracking components.

We do not send your content or usage behavior to servers operated by us or by third parties. System capabilities (photo picker, share sheet, web view) are provided by Apple / iOS and are governed by Apple’s privacy practices. We cannot read data you exchange with other apps through those system components.

When you use the system share sheet to send a result to WeChat, QQ, email, or another app, that transfer is governed by the receiving app’s privacy policy and is outside this App.

07 Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not provide your web content, drafts, photos, or usage records to advertisers or data brokers.

Information may leave your device only when:

• you export or share it: you save a long image to Photos, write it to Files, or send it through the system share sheet to another app or contact;
• required by law: if compelled by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request, we may need to respond. Because we have no cloud store of your content, we typically have little or no content data to provide.

08 Your Rights

Because data lives on your device, you stay in direct control:

• Access: review drafts, history, and settings stored on device;
• Correct & delete: delete individual drafts, clear web history, change or remove signature settings;
• Withdraw permissions: turn off Photos, network-related access, or other permissions in Settings → Bear Long Image;
• Portability: export your works as image files;
• Account deletion: there is no account system; uninstalling the App clears sandbox data.

If GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or other privacy laws apply to you, on-device controls above support access, deletion, and correction rights. Contact us via Section 11 if you need assistance.

09 Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will help delete it.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will update the Effective Date in the App and/or on this page, and will make reasonable efforts to provide notice. Please review this policy periodically. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
